This week 4W started a new art project on printing. Printing is a way of transferring one surface to another. The surfaces 4W printed from to make dot decorations for their maps of Roman forts were the ends of a cotton wool buds, matches and kebab skewers.

In the next lesson pupils began making their collograph printing blocks. They used aerial maps of Manchester to sketch out their designs and started building their printing blocks using scrap materials.
