Subject Lead – Emma Martin

Art and Design provides children with many opportunities to experience our curriculum driver of ‘Creativity’. The threshold concepts below are visited within every unit, with other discrete skills taught within specific units in a progressive way. The curriculum has been written for our context by our resident artist and subject leader. Artist have been carefully chose to develop both children’s cultural capital and to celebrate diversity. We believe it is important that children see themselves in the artist that inspire them.
